The Lost and Found
Created in October of 2009, The Lost and Found was started as a way to publicly share EMi’s stumblings across the internet with her friends. Having spent a couple of months sharing photos and art with her then boyfriend, she thought using the Tumblr would be a cute way to share her findings with more of her friends. As time went on she began including brief histories on the artists as she had with the guy, many of whom she had been following for 10 years or more. Writing about these artists caused her to remember more artists whom she had forgotten over the years, and thus the name was borrowed from a Rasputina album. While sometimes the Tumblr is treated traditionally (simple postings and reblogings) the articles have taken on a life of their own and have been comically dubbed Shut Up EMi.
EMi
EMi is a twenty-something good-for-nothing basement-dweller somewhere on Long Island with her hedgehog Quiche and cat Noodle. She likes art, literature, film, and music in all forms. Additionally she also enjoys coffee, burritos, octopi, giraffes, good whisky, being OCDelightful, David Bowie, adventures, technology, .pdf files, Tom Waits, and writing. She often talks too much and flails around when she does.
